This hand-printed tea towel has been specially commissioned by BirdLife Southern NSW as a fundraiser to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the first twice-yearly tree planting weekend organised by BirdLife Australia’s Capertee Valley Regent Honeyeater Recovery Project. Since May 1994, 148,000 native trees have been planted by the Project on 285 hectares over 53 properties in the Capertee Valley in New South Wales Australia to enhance the habitat of the critically endangered Regent Honeyeater.
All this work has been done by hundreds of volunteers over the years with organisational and logistical support from the NSW Land Rover Owners Club, Cumberland Bird Observers Club, Birding NSW, the Blue Mountains Bird Observers Club and many others.
The tea towel is 100% cotton, measuring 500 x 700mm. It was designed by BirdLife Australia member and avid bird artist, Kathryn Warwick, and printed by the staff of Bobbin and Ink, each of whom has donated their time and effort to make this fundraiser possible. The tea towel features a Regent Honeyeater in native foliage with a background vista of the beautiful Capertee Valley and also shows rows of freshly planted seedlings in the foreground.
Your tea towel order will be dispatched to you within a month of the date of your order.
